Ingredients
1 pack Trader Joe’s Soup Dumplings
1 tbsp water (for steaming/microwaving)
1 tbsp oil (for pan-frying, optional)
¼ cup water (for pan-frying, optional)
Dipping sauces (soy sauce, black vinegar, chili oil, optional)
Instructions
Place dumplings in their original tray (do not remove).
Add 1 tbsp water to help steam.
Cover with a damp paper towel and microwave on high for 2 minutes.
Let them rest for 1 minute before serving.
Fill a pot with 1-2 inches of water and bring it to a boil.
Line a steamer basket with parchment paper or cabbage leaves.
Arrange the dumplings in the basket, leaving space between them.
Steam for 8-10 minutes until soft and cooked through.
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
Place dumplings flat-side down and cook for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
Add ¼ cup water, cover, and steam for 5-6 minutes.
Uncover and crisp for another 1-2 minutes before serving.
