Scale

For the Salmon Bites:

  • 1 lb skinless salmon fillet, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for spice)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari (for umami flavor)

For the Dipping Sauce (Optional):

  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt or mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Salmon

  1. Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, black pepper, cayenne (if using), lemon juice, and soy sauce.
  3. Toss the salmon cubes in the seasoning mixture until evenly coated.

Step 2: Cook the Salmon Bites

👉 Pan-Seared Method:

  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add salmon bites in a single layer and cook 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Remove from heat and let rest for 1 minute before serving.

👉 Air Fryer Method:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Arrange salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  3. Cook for 7-9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.

👉 Oven-Baked Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place salmon bites on a lined baking sheet.
  3. Bake for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. For extra crispiness, broil for 1-2 minutes at the end.

Step 3: Make the Dipping Sauce (Optional)

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt (or mayo), honey, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Serve alongside the salmon bites for dipping.

Notes

  • Make it spicier: Add more cayenne pepper or a drizzle of hot sauce.
  • For extra crispiness: Use panko breadcrumbs or cornstarch before cooking.
  • Storage: Keep leftover salmon bites in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month.
  • Reheating: Best reheated in an air fryer or oven at 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes to maintain crispiness.
