Instructions
Prepare the Dough:
- In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Preheat & Prepare the Base:
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Transfer to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
Assemble the Pizza:
- Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top.
- Add sliced jalapeños and red onions (if using).
- Brush the crust edges with olive oil for a golden-brown finish.
