These Healthy Banana Bread Cookies are soft, chewy, and naturally sweetened with ripe bananas. Made with wholesome ingredients, they’re gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar-free, making them a perfect guilt-free snack or breakfast treat. Ready in just 25 minutes, they are easy to make and customizable with nuts, chocolate chips, or spices.

Ingredients

Scale

2 ripe bananas, mashed
1 cup oat flour (or almond flour for a gluten-free option)
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (optional)
¼ cup nut butter (almond, peanut, or cashew)
¼ cup dark chocolate chips or chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prep Your Ingredients

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.

Step 2: Mix the Dough

  • Add nut butter, vanilla extract, and maple syrup (if using) to the mashed bananas. Stir well.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together oat flour, cinnamon, and baking soda.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully combined.
  • If using, mix in chocolate chips or nuts.

Step 3: Shape & Bake

  • Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough per cookie onto the baking sheet, flattening slightly.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra chewiness, chill the dough for 10 minutes before baking.
  • For a crunchier texture, bake an additional 2 minutes.
  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 days, in the fridge for 1 week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
