This easy chocolate dessert is rich, fudgy, and made with minimal ingredients in under 30 minutes. Perfect for when you’re craving something sweet, fast, and homemade!
Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking powder
Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips or nuts
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan.
Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, stir together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
Add dry ingredients: Gently mix in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Do not overmix.
Fold in extras: Add chocolate chips or nuts, if using.
Bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cool before cutting into squares. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
Notes
For a gooier texture, slightly underbake and cool completely before serving.
Use high-quality cocoa powder for richer flavor.
Add a sprinkle of sea salt on top for a sweet-salty contrast.
Can be stored in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
